What disappointed me was that all of them have the problems of unilateral or too simple, and some even overstate the mystical part that far away from the truth. This documentary not only avoid these problems, but has the right mix of the rigorous academicand simple words which make this documentary is easy to be understood.
At the same time, the logic of this documentary is also clear and logical. All the ten discoveries have connection with each other, and the transitionis natural. In addition, the screen is very beautiful too. All of these factories make this documentary great.

       在历史的发现里，我窥见了我们不曾了解却一直抱有错误认识的那段故事。我曾经也认为建造金字塔的工人们都是长期受到鞭打和虐待却必须不停干活的奴隶，或许是因为潜意识里把秦始王修筑长城时的劳役者们带入了。在金字塔周围发现的工人之墓改变我们长期以来的误解，考古学家发现在这些工人里，也有复杂的社会阶层和工人福利，劳动力的结构甚至与现代相似，监工们重视工人，经体质人类学家研究表明，工人甚至能够接受医术精湛的医疗救治。这些都是和我之前认识有几大出入的，或许很多考古学家也和我有一样的误解，但是研究历史的乐趣和目的不就在于此吗？我想，历史没有绝对的对错，毕竟我们无法亲眼目睹，毕竟岁月的尘埃掩埋了太多的历史证据，但是历史可以在不断的发现中进行完善，并得到更加贴近于历史真相的结果。
       历史被掩埋在了现代城市之下。明知此处极有可能埋着一座规模庞大的神庙，却无法进行挖掘，对于考古学家，历史学家们来说，也许会是内心无法磨灭的一道伤痕吧！消失的艾赫米姆神庙，被发展的现代城市掩盖住了。现代发展与历史考据的矛盾或许就在于此吧！这部纪录片，不仅仅是向我们陈述古埃及的遗迹发现，而更是以人类学家的眼光来向我们展现其内涵的。
